Core functions, such as claims management, safety, underwriting and risk management, finance and budgeting, and customer service are all being enhanced through the implementation of robust BI capabilities that make it easy for end users to retrieve information from hard-to-reach sources. One of the first applications built and deployed focused on claims and claim management. With the assistance of Information Builders’ Professional Services team, the company created a parameter-driven BI application. Users can select from approximately 40 different parameters, allowing them to track various aspects of the claims they process, including types of injuries, severity, and costs.
