The primary objective was to make it easy to access and analyze institutional information as well as to improve and accelerate strategic decision-making. The university designed BI applications to simplify management tasks and strengthen the budgetary process within multiple departments. It selected WebFOCUS to report against a data warehouse that serves multiple departments at UEM’s main campus in Madrid and a satellite campus in Valencia. The warehouse stores aggregated operational and financial data from the university’s academic management systems, human resources applications, sales systems, accounting applications, and CRM system.
