Palm Coast Data (PCD) was looking to fine-tune its analytics for calls, orders, shipping, and inventory, as well as expand its analytic tools to include e-commerce dashboards. The company wanted to extend a variety of existing reporting packages with modern BI technology. PCD had acquired FulCircle, a multi-channel solutions provider, which included an application called SmartSuite based on Information Builders’ WebFOCUS business intelligence (BI) and analytics technology. PCD wanted to enhance the SmartSuite environment and extend WebFOCUS into other product areas. PCD partnered with Information Builders to create a customer-facing analytic portal and a series of reusable InfoApps, enabling dashboard reporting with unmatched data integration and drill-down capabilities. The team used WebFOCUS AppStudio and Portal to modernize the SmartSuite platform, as well as to add analytics to their PCD Fusion solution, a recently released e-commerce tool that enables clients to build responsive online order pages. PCD Fusion also includes customer self-service and shopping cart functionality. An embedded version of WebFOCUS allows people to analyze data from order pages and shopping carts. The analytic portal makes it easy to track important metrics, as well as to measure the effectiveness of their marketing channels. Being able to capture and combine transactional data, marketing analytics, and behavioral metrics enables them to deliver personalized, real-time offers.
