Merchant Direct uses a multi-tier web server solution communicating with WebFOCUS reporting server to an IBM DB2 database on the IBM z/OS mainframe. It draws its source data from numerous other Moneris applications to provide a consolidated view. Merchant transactions are loaded into a DB2 repository each night – from seven to 10 million records per day. The database is currently storing several terabytes of data in an online environment. | |
