A comprehensive suite of ABB solutions were employed to address the aforementioned challenge. A variety of ABB string inverters will be used to convert current in this solar plant. The BMS system will control and monitor the complete rooftop system, the i-bus® KNX system (temperature and lighting control) plus the power management with the Emax 2 air circuit breakers. This enables monitoring of the inverters, meteorological department data, power metering and analysis of the building’s lighting and temperature settings as well. Ekip SmartVision connects the ABB solar rooftop to the Internet of Things, creating a digital profile of the photovoltaic installation, continuously analyzing the power quality, as well as tracking trends in the site's energy production and demand.
