To address this challenge, Equativ partnered with Greenly, a company known for its scientific and transparent approach to assessing carbon footprints. Greenly's methodology, which covers scope 1, 2, and 3 analysis and benchmarks, was accredited by the ADEME (Agence pour la Transition Écologique). Greenly's smart platform UI, which integrated with Equativ's existing tools, and their guidance and expertise in engaging employees in the approach, were also key factors in the partnership. Additionally, Equativ partnered with BL evolution, a company dedicated to CSR consulting, to develop a solution that measures the energy footprint of programmatic campaigns delivered via its solutions and also reduces the carbon footprint of these campaigns by choosing less energy-consuming delivery methods.

The carbon assessment carried out by Greenly provided Equativ with a clear understanding of its carbon emissions and a starting point for measuring the commitments it was making towards reducing its carbon footprint. The company was also able to obtain its first 'GHG assessment' badge, marking a significant step in its Net Zero trajectory. The assessment also helped Equativ expand its global carbon footprint calculation to include the emissions of two additional companies merged under the Equativ name in June. Furthermore, the partnership with BL evolution enabled Equativ to develop a solution for measuring and reducing the energy footprint of its programmatic campaigns, thereby contributing to the overall reduction of its carbon footprint.

Equativ's carbon footprint was measured at 3978t CO2e in 2021.

The company's carbon footprint was broken down into digital (63.5%), services purchase (28.7%), energy (6.3%), and fixed assets (6.1%).

The carbon footprint per employee was calculated at 9.1t CO2e.
