The signing of the National Water Law gave CONAGUA the green light to oversee water amounts, quality, use, and conservation. Solution	Information Builders helped the commission develop the National System for Water Information (SINA) system, a key instrument in Mexico’s water management policies that serves as the basis for the country’s national planning and organization of its water basins. CONAGUA used the WebFOCUS BI and analytics platform to develop a flexible information architecture that can deliver predefined reports to desktop and mobile devices in Excel, PDF, and JPG formats. Users perform spatial and analytical processing with conventional browsers. The BI infrastructure allows for a quick and efficient response to the new demands for delivery, exploitation, storage, and integration of information. WebFOCUS native adapters extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Excel templates. Other WebFOCUS adapters simplify interaction with third-party systems from other government agencies.
