Solution	FAU used Information Builders’ WebFOCUS business intelligence (BI) and analytics platform to operationalize its PBF strategy and automate the complex compliance reporting scenarios necessary for performance-based funding. The university implemented WebFOCUS a number of years ago to address legislative mandates for budgeting, planning, and financial reporting. The success of their financial reporting initiative prompted FAU to make WebFOCUS its BI standard across the institution. WebFOCUS has also become extremely useful for financial reporting within the state’s performance metrics. The college developed a complex model to predict student success and foresee issues, allowing faculty and advisors to effectively identify “at-risk” students.
