Verdecora, a leader in “green” home and garden supplies, was facing challenges in providing improved and streamlined access to information, optimizing management of information, and developing new indicators for tracking. The company's expansion in available sales space translated into an increase in the quantity of products and information generated. One of Verdecora’s main concerns was how it could process and optimally manage all of this information, and, perhaps most importantly, provide agile access to that information – which was strategic for the company. Verdecora is a leader in “green” home and garden supplies, offering a cutting-edge concept for selling flowers, plants, pets and pet supplies, home and garden décor and all related articles. The company has had a solid presence in Spain since 1992, and in 2006, the Verdecora brand was launched as a cutting-edge concept for selling flowers, plants, pets and pet supplies, home and garden décor and all related articles. Seventeen years ago, the company opened its first store in Torrelodones under the name of Jardiland. Another store soon followed in Majadahonda. In 1998, a new location was launched at Paterna, and in 2006, the first Verdecora center opened in Leganés, offering more than 10,000 m2 of floor space. That same year, another store was launched at the Parquesur shopping mall. In 2008, a location in Zaragoza was added to the list. The three latest investments feature average store space of 6,000 m2.

With the help of QlikTech Ibérica’s partner, Sand, they carried out a project using the QlikView solution. This tool, which employs associative logic and was developed by QlikTech, features expanded visual potential, a short learning curve, and quick ROI. Since being implemented, Verdecora has been able to improve record management, thereby offering high-quality data for the end user. Another important aspect is that given the company’s proactive approach, providing access to useful information was absolutely essential. This solution is now being used by 60 employees at all levels within the company, from Support Services (Management Control, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and DAF [Data Analysis]) as well as within the company’s network of stores.
