Cloud Space Inc. faced a significant challenge when they were hired to provide full infrastructure design, development, and managed services for The Art of Banksy exhibit in Toronto. The exhibit required a robust and reliable IT infrastructure to support production, POS, network connectivity, and guest WiFi. The task was daunting as they had to transform a 10,000 square foot empty warehouse into a fully functioning exhibit space within a tight timeframe of 20 days. The challenge was further compounded by the need to ensure continuous uptime and reliable internet connectivity for the duration of the exhibit, which was crucial for ticket sales, gift shop operations, and overall guest experience. The situation became even more critical when the fiber line to the exhibit went dead, and the modem reset to factory settings, necessitating immediate and effective intervention to keep the exhibit running smoothly.

To address the challenges posed by The Art of Banksy exhibit, Cloud Space Inc. implemented a comprehensive IT infrastructure solution using Datto Networking products. They installed five Datto Access Points, one Datto Switch, and one Datto Networking Appliance (DNA) to ensure robust network connectivity and WiFi coverage. The DNA provided 4G LTE failover capabilities, which proved crucial when the fiber line to the exhibit went down. Additionally, they installed 31 CCTV cameras to monitor the exhibits, ensuring security and operational oversight. The solution was designed to support over 30 staff members running POS systems for ticket sales, gift shops, and concessions, as well as providing main WiFi for executives and public WiFi for up to 250 guests per hour. Cloud Space Inc. also conducted nightly proactive health checks to monitor the system's performance and address any issues promptly. When the fiber line went down, the DNA automatically switched to 4G LTE, keeping the network operational for three days until the fiber line was repaired. This seamless failover ensured that the exhibit could continue without any disruptions, maintaining the guest experience and operational efficiency.
