Following a request for proposal, C-discount.com quickly chose to implement the Opti-Time software dedicated to Enterprise use, mainly for its route optimization performance, its customizable UI, and a real-time appointment booking module integrated within the tool, a rare feature. Flexible and scalable, the Opti-Time solution enables C-discount.com to upgrade its delivery system over time, ensuring optimal route scheduling management. In April 2010, C-discount.com incorporated mobility into its system, equipping its delivery staff with smartphones connected to the Opti-Time tool. This allowed delivery staff to retrieve their roadmap each morning and input their delivery report directly into the terminal, enabling real-time schedule updates in Opti-Time. This system also allowed the generation of electronic delivery notes, avoiding data loss, and making it easier to reissue a delivery note if required. In 2012, the new C-discount website was launched, enabling customers to track their parcels. An order number is entered in the dedicated box, and a connection is established with Opti-Time to display the delivery status. At the beginning of 2013, delivery vehicle geolocation was added to the system, enabling complete product traceability. In June 2013, a new route optimizer was installed to allow for batch (overnight) optimization in addition to real-time (daytime) optimization. Several workflows per day can now be integrated into the solution, achieving the best possible granularity of delivery schedule updating. The current system is updated two to three times a year with new functionalities and updated map data to ensure the most accurate and reliable route plans on the market.
