The financial institution was battling Application-Layer and TCP-Flood-DDoS attacks that their service provider’s always-on cloud solution could not identify and manage effectively. They embarked on a traffic analysis project to understand the malicious traffic traversing their network. They initially employed an always-on cloud solution provided through a service provider. The solution was sufficient for identifying and mitigating volumetric DDoS attacks, but it struggled with other DDoS attack vectors.
