The pharmacy store chain, with over 20,000 national and international suppliers, was struggling with the efficiency of its supply chain network. The company had billions of records from over 50 tables and sources, making analysis difficult. There was no single source of truth as data was decentralized and coming from different sources. Reporting was time-consuming as teams had to compile reports manually and could send them only once a month to top 200 suppliers. There was no way to provide secure, self-service access to massive volumes of supply chain data to external users/suppliers.

The customer is a large pharmacy store chain with more than 20,000 national and international suppliers. The company's supply chain network is vital to its operations, ensuring that inventory reaches the stores in time. The performance of these suppliers plays a crucial role in the success of the business. The company wanted to improve the efficiency of its supply chain network by providing suppliers with access to their data through an automated system. This would allow suppliers to monitor their own performance and measure up to the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set for them.

The company consolidated their data on Hadoop and used Kyvos to enable secure data lake access for both external and internal users. Kyvos created a BI acceleration layer on their data lake to ensure that their suppliers could query massive volumes of data and still get interactive responses. They created a Supplier Scorecard Dashboard on Tableau that provided information on details such as KPIs for the week-to-date and year-to-date performance comparisons for the current year and the previous year, KPI to PO drill down to line-item detail, and more. Once the scorecards were created, they allowed suppliers to access their KPIs directly and understand performance trends. To ensure that suppliers could only access their own data, rules were set up in Kyvos to filter vendor-level details. Kyvos integrated easily with their enterprise security infrastructure, and its row-level security ensured that suppliers could only see their own information and not that of other suppliers.
