The recommendations resulted in upgrading existing Check Point perimeter security gateways to the VPN-1 Pro NGX software platform and replacing an appliance with an open server running SecurePlatform, Check Point’s hardened operating system for security. For accountants, executives, and engineers, RPS provided Check Point Integrity™ SecureClient™ for remote access. This solution installs a centrally managed personal firewall on the endpoint computers, preventing eavesdropping and piggybacking on the transmissions and enabling RPS to block network access to computers that do not comply with its security policies. In some instances, RPS provides SSL Network Extender™ for remote access. This solution allows consultants working at client sites behind firewalls that do not allow connections out to the RPS network to go through the Internet using the SSL Network Extender Web browser plug-in.
