Solution	Islington Council took a progressive step in 2009 by overhauling its accident incident reporting through the investment in a new information management system – Info Exchange. This innovative platform streamlined health and safety management practices, enabling users to report health and safety incidents, log key audit data, and access essential information and documents in one centrally-stored source. The system was designed to be fit for the education sector and aligned with the council’s own practices. The ability to add new modules to the existing Info Exchange platform provided the council with clear budget benefits, allowing for gradual extension of the platform, greater cost control, and minimized internal disruption. Info Exchange also enabled the Council’s Health and Safety Services team to manage all aspects of risk assessments, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) management, Alcumus ISOQAR certification, and compliance requirements in a more efficient way.
