Operational Impact
The use of BIM and BIMx in the design and construction of the new Miyanomori Elementary School resulted in a number of operational benefits. The technology allowed for effective communication of the design intent to the community, helping them visualize the end result of the structure and understand the space. This helped to build trust and consensus among the stakeholders. The use of BIMx also facilitated collaboration among the carpenters, builders, and building managers, enabling them to identify and address potential problems in advance of the construction. This proactive approach helped to avoid costly and time-consuming changes during the construction phase. Furthermore, the use of BIM technology helped to transform a dense, neglected woodland into a welcoming and diverse environment for the school, contributing to the revitalization of the community. | |
