HMM implemented Software AG's webMethods suite to ensure seamless communication between its different IT systems. The platform was chosen because it could fulfill all of HMM's requirements, including compatibility with its mainframe environment and fast processing speed. CUDO Communications, Software AG’s long-standing partner in Korea, provided the consulting services for interfacing between the heterogeneous systems. Before the new integration platform could begin its maiden voyage, all inter-system processes needed to be analyzed and designed. It took about a year to complete the integration process.

Implementation costs and additional expenses associated with using SAP for non-SAP integrations have been reduced or could be avoided altogether.
Continuity of function was provided, as existing applications could continue to be used.
One of the main issues within the webMethods project was integration with the master data management system used by HMM. After the integration with webMethods, code matching became significantly easier. Data can be shared directly across systems and information can be extended to employees, customers, and business partners.
Operational costs were cut in half.
Access to real-time information improved efficiency and competitiveness.
