Operational Impact
The training program initiated by Little Freddie has not only helped in reducing the risk associated with their supplier, HavaMad, but also contributed to the welfare of the farmers. The farmers were equipped with new skills and knowledge that they could apply to their own farming practices, leading to increased productivity and quality of production. The project also aimed to increase supply volumes without expanding the current production area, ensuring the ecological balance within the soil is maintained. As the farmers adopt these more sustainable farming methods, it will free up space to grow more crops, therefore generating additional income and providing these farmers and their families with the opportunities to build more prosperous lives.
Quantitative Benefit
Potential increase in yields from 3 tonnes-per-hectare (T/ha) to more than 60T/ha.
