Operational Impact
The implementation of Trimble office software and field solutions led to improved collaboration, information sharing, and scheduling across the project. The use of Trimble Connect enabled a more integrated data workflow across the jobsite, leading to better collaboration and communication. The use of Vico Office allowed for the creation of detailed and accurate estimates and schedules, which were critical in keeping the project on track. The use of the Trimble PCS900 Paving Control System and the Trimble CCS900 Compaction Control System led to faster and more accurate paving and compaction. The Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System improved efficiency onsite by accurately positioning the blade or bucket in real time, significantly reducing material overages and improving productivity. The project is currently running on time and on schedule and is on track to be completed in 2019.
Quantitative Benefit
Two-year ROI on technology investments due to increased productivity in earthworks, paving, and compaction.
Decreased labor costs with 10 fewer crew members required for every paver equipped with the Trimble GCS900 system.
Optimized fuel use and machine runtime, and ensured consistent compaction pass counts and meter values.
