Fraport selected Software AG’s solution based on the ARIS Architect, Publisher and IT Inventory. The project team first developed a metamodel with all the basic information that needed to be mapped. Fraport began by installing the ARIS repository and implementing ARIS Architect. The first milestone was reached very quickly: the Excel spreadsheet wasn’t needed anymore as all the information was available in the ARIS repository. The next step was to make the collected data available online to other authorized Fraport employees via ARIS Publisher. Decentralized maintenance posed the greatest challenge. This particular function was very important to the IT team to ensure up-to-date data. Querying the right parameters required a great many adjustments to the system. The Fraport team had handled the project largely on its own until this point, when it needed technical support from Software AG to customize IT Inventory.
