This allowed Maritime to identify areas for efficiency improvements, such as reducing engine idling and optimizing driving styles. The telematics system also facilitated the development of driver skills through Microlise A-G reports, leading to additional fuel savings and enhanced safety levels. As part of the solution, Maritime deployed Microlise’s Journey Management product, which included Customer Service and Schedule Execution Boards. This provided real-time visibility of the fleet against planned routes, enabling better planning and proactive customer service. The solution was later expanded to cover 1,000 vehicles, with all new vehicles fitted with the technology before their first journey. The Microlise DriveTab device was also adopted to facilitate safe and effective two-way communication with drivers and manage tasks and work.
