DB Schenker partnered with Swisslog to implement the CarryPick solution, part of Swisslog's Click&Pick® portfolio designed for retail applications. CarryPick is a goods-to-person solution consisting of three modules: a Mobile Rack, a Mobile Robot (Carry), and a Workstation. The Mobile Racks are transported by the automated Carries to the Workstations, allowing for easy scalability and minimal construction work during installation. The Mobile Robots navigate using barcodes on the floor and are equipped with lifting and turn-on-the-spot technology. They offer unique redundancy by automatically charging themselves inductively, ensuring 24/7 operation. The Workstations centralize picking, packing, replenishment, and returns, coordinated by Swisslog's software, which interfaces with the customer's ERP system. This modular design allows DB Schenker to easily adapt to market changes and customer demands, making it a future-proof solution for e-commerce logistics.
