Solution	Crown decided to implement QlikView, a business intelligence tool, to supplement their existing BusinessObjects solution. QlikView was chosen for its eye-catching, intuitive interface and faster time to market. The implementation was carried out by QlikTech’s Hong Kong partner, Velocity Business Solutions. They organised a ‘Seeing is Believing’ demonstration of QlikView using Crown data to show how QlikView could meet the company’s BI goals and reduce data inconsistencies. This was followed by a two-week proof of concept period. Crown pulls data from its 55 countries into a central data warehouse utilising SQL Server software. The initial priority for Velocity Business Solutions was to support Crown’s QUEST program by giving branch managers QlikView dashboards to view their key performance indicators in near real time.
