The team designed a new software architecture based on microservices and used Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban for project delivery. The solution included a separate platform providing end-users with a simple and intuitive interface to search topics and read associated articles, the ability to create topics of single or multiple searches, several custom newsletter templates, a customizable newsletter template feature, and a dashboard that tracks newsletter opens, click-throughs, and other analytics. The platform was divided into three parts: an admin site for system administrators, a client admin site for content managers who send regular curated newsletters, and a portal for end-users where they can configure their personal newsletter and select the articles they want to receive. The platform was built using Angular 6 framework and leveraged Machine Learning and AI for advanced search capabilities.
