Initially selected for its value in managing user profiles, AppSense soon proved to offer much more, leading the Trust to change its long-term plans to fully leverage its functionality. The new roadmap includes a fully mobile, virtual desktop environment with Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 for desktop brokering and Microsoft App-V for application delivery. AppSense helped virtualize applications that were difficult to manage, such as the digital dictation and mobile pharmacy applications, improving logon speed and increasing functionality.
