The Foundation turned to Altair for an automated data preparation solution. Altair enabled the Marbridge team to access information locked in PDFs and generate reports without the need for system upgrades or contracting temporary help. A customized Altair template was used to extract the IRS-required information, allowing Marbridge to access and clean current and historic payroll information previously locked in PDF files. The preparation was quick and automatic, saving an estimated 2,000 to 3,500 man-hours of manual reentry. Altair's unique ability to automatically pull and prepare data from a wide range of difficult-to-access report formats, such as PDF, XML, HTML, text, spool, and ASCII files, enabled the organization to pull in structured and unstructured data from payroll records, invoices, sales reports, balance sheets, and more.
