Ather Energy, a company that designs, manufactures, and markets smart electric scooters and charging infrastructure, faced several challenges. They lacked visibility into their public cloud infrastructure use across the organization, which made it difficult to maintain continuous compliance. The risk of misconfigurations could lead to the exposure of sensitive data. Additionally, they lacked the skilled resources to manage multiple cloud infrastructure services. As Ather's business relies on multiple public clouds and cloud services, they needed a single view into their entire environment to speed resolution when issues arise, and to gain the insights they need to address potential problems before they have any impact.

To address these challenges, Ather implemented several solutions. They used Netskope for IaaS and Continuous Security Assessment for Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. They also used Netskope for Google G Suite and partnered with Vinca Cyber for end-to-end cyber security solution recommendations and implementation. By using AWS and GCP, Ather powered agile DevOps processes that helped it bring new products and features to market quickly. Their entire scooter backend runs on the public cloud with each vehicle sending roughly 200MB of data per day. As Ather began their journey to the public cloud, they also needed to ensure strong security. They looked to Netskope for a cloud-native solution that provided continuous visibility into any potential risk across their multi-cloud infrastructure environment and to help them address their part in the shared responsibility models of each of the cloud providers they use.
