Overview of offered system is depicted as per Figure. Proposed System for performing above measurements shall comprise of the following:

Vision Based System for Measurement of Width, Height and Rhomboidity.

Laser Sensor for Measurement of Vertical Bend, Horizontal Bend and Length.

Laser Sensor for Measurement of Displacement.

Motion System having about 13M Travel for positioning of Laser Sensor.

MS / AL Frame Mounting the Motion System and Sensors.

MS Stand for Installation for Mounting Frame on the Ground.

Sensor & System for Measurement of Section Dimensions (Height, Width).

System Computer, Control Panel, Customized Application Software.

Automatic generation of Test Report.

Width, Height Rhomboidity shall be measured at one End of Red-Hot Billet shall be measured through Non-Contact Type Vision Based Automatic Measurement System.

One Non-Contact Type Laser Sensor shall be used for Measurement of Vertical Bend, Horizontal Bend and Length Red Hot Billets.

Laser Sensor shall be Mounted on Instrument Plate of Linear Motion System having a Travel distance of about 13 M.

One Non-Contact Type Laser Sensor shall be used position feedback of Instrument Plate.

Motion System shall be fitted on a rigid precise aluminum Frame.

Motion System Frame shall be installed on the ground on MS Support Structure.

Laser Sensor shall be moved horizontally along full Billet full length of Billet to measure Vertical Bend, Horizontal Bend and Length of Billets.

Accuracy of measurement shall be about 1 mm

System for measurement Billet Cross Section dimensions shall be installed towards one end of Ends of Billet. It will measure Billet Width, Billet Height and shall calculate Rhomboidity parameters. Accuracy of measurement shall be 1mm.

OTI system shall also calculate volume and weight of the Billets based on the density parameter and empirical formula given by Client.

Motion Control System, Measurement System and Sensors shall house in protected enclosure having suitable air / water / cooling arrangement.

The system shall have user friendly GUI.

Test Report shall be available as per client format and shall be stored on System Computer.

Historical Data can be retrieved based on various search criteria like date, PO, Operator, shift, Customer, batch number, barcode etc.

System shall be provided with adequate thermal protection to work reliably in hot surrounding environment up to at 80 Dec C.
