Solution	To address these challenges, Clarity built three separate HIPAA compliant apps. The first was a mobile app installed on a patient’s smartphone. ACON's latest devices were enabled with Bluetooth, allowing Clarity to build a pairing and sync function into the app. This allowed patients to sync their device anytime, and all their readings from their phone were automatically pushed to the Doctor’s portal. Patients could then invite a Doctor to view and edit their records as their Healthcare Provider. From the portal, caregivers could monitor their patients and were proactively notified when any of them were noticeably out of range. The Doctor could even set thresholds for each patient. The final app was a Windows app designed for the humanitarian effort in Africa. This application allowed the doctor in a village clinic to plug the device into the USB port, and use the device to monitor and treat the diabetes needs of an entire village.
